The Coat

The Boston Terrier’s smooth and tight fitting coat sheds somewhat, but not in large amounts. A weekly brushing with a soft-bristled brush will help release dead hair. Thorough brushing also facilitates growth of new hair and distributes natural oil on the coat, helping it to remain healthy. The Boston Terrier needs to be bathed rarely, only if it wallows in unpleasant substances. The Boston Terrier’s nails should be clipped regularly. Long nails may hurt the dog and obstruct it when walking and running.
